You will complete three nationally recognised units: Recruit, Select and Induct Staff (SITXHRM002A); Monitor Staff Performance (SITXHRM006A) and Coach Others in Job Skills (SITXHRM001A).

Recruit and Select Staff (SITXHRM002A)

Choosing employees with people skills is vital for the Hospitality Industry. During an employment interview you only have 30 - 40 minutes to make that decision. During this module you will learn how to develop your staff selection skills.

Monitor Staff Performance (SITXHRM006A)

This unit deals with the skills and knowledge required to monitor staff performance, within the framework of established performance management systems. You will learn how to conduct structured performance appraisal and formal counseling sessions.

Coach Others in Job Skills (SITXHRM001A)

This unit deals with the skills and knowledge required to provide on-the-job coaching to colleagues. This unit has no parity with national workplace trainer standards, but reflects the situation in many hospitality workplaces where ‘buddy' systems and on job coaching are extremely common.
