Jonathan Waller

General Manager

Jonathan joined Dickson-Wohlsen Strategies as a full time training consultant in January 2005, direct from supervisory roles in the hospitality industry. Jonathan has extensive experience in hotel and restaurant management both in the UK and Australia, spanning 15 years. Jonathan has worked hard for several promotions within CTA and became our General Manager in 2008.

Jonathan has overseen the growth of Club Training Australia, since joining as the 4th full time trainer, with now 11 full time trainers and over 18 qualifications on scope. With hospitality at the core, CTA have added commercial cookery, business and have excellent online capabilities. A focus on school based traineeships has also seen Jonathan’s commitment to young people and the industry reward participating clubs with great community benefits.

In addition to traineeships, Jonathan has developed a successful Duty Manager Development course and has overseen our successful pre employment courses.

Jonathan is regularly invited to venue  staff meetings delivering presentations to motivate and empower staff while improving their customer service skills.

A hands on manager, Jonathan is regularly seen training staff in venues throughout the state and is passionate about the industry, customer service and the professional development of young people.

Jonathan has created a culture of self improvement within the Club Training Team and ensures that all clients, students and employers have direct access to him if required.
