The Foster’s Leadership Academy aims to identify future leaders of the Queensland club industry and assist them to develop their knowledge, along with their team building skills and social networks within the industry. From a learning perspective the aim of the Academy is to identify the future leaders of the Queensland Club Industry and develop them through formal learning and social industry interaction. The Academy aims to ultimately provide all participants who meet the learning outcomes a nationally accredited industry qualification in the ‘Diploma in Hospitality Management’. The structure of the Academy will also meet all educational requirements of the prestigious and much sought after ‘Active Certified Club Managers’ award (ACCM). While being educationally based the Foster’s Leadership Academy also aims to provide a professional and social networking opportunity through a number of team building experiences. Ultimately the education and professional networking established through the Foster’s Leadership Academy will greatly benefit the individual, and the future of the Club Industry, while assisting to meet the strategic direction of Foster’s. The Foster’s Leadership Academy aims to provide participants with a network of fellow participants who are all in similar roles to themselves. It is envisaged that graduates of the Leadership Academy will be in regular contact with each other long after their formal learning in the Academy has been completed. The ultimate aim of the Fosters Leadership Academy is to build a “fraternity” of Club Leaders. Each of the participants are selected in part due to the belief that they are future industry leaders. It is believed that in years to come, many of the General Managers of Queensland Clubs will be graduates of the Fosters Leadership Academy. |
